Austin Cyr

Born in Central California and raised in Oregon, Austin Cyr made his way to San Diego with a passion for surfing and a desire to learn the craft of building surfboards. He began his career in the surf industry, learning every step of the board-building process, from shaping to glassing. That hands-on background became the foundation for the way Austin approaches business today: with attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a genuine appreciation for the communities he works in.

While continuing to build surfboards, Austin earned his real estate license in 2023 and began helping clients buy and sell homes throughout North County San Diego. His connection to the area extends beyond his work with clients—Austin is a La Costa resident and also owns an investment property in Encinitas, giving him a personal stake in the communities and real estate market he serves.

Most recently, Austin opened Hot Batch Glassing & Surf Shop in Encinitas, a surfboard glassing and retail business where he continues to build boards while operating his real estate business alongside it. Whether he's working on a surfboard or helping a client navigate a purchase or sale, Austin brings the same straightforward, hands-on approach to the process.

Now part of The Lineup at Compass, Austin combines his experience in real estate, small business, and the surf industry with a deep connection to the North County San Diego lifestyle.
